Monster rules

Hi! I'm tweaking my adventure for the jam (I've barely had to change anything), but when I got to the monsters, I had some doubts about the rules. How does AC work for monsters? Wouldn't the characters just have to succeed on a normal roll to hit the enemy? When you talk about the monster saving throw, is that a common save for everything? Thanks!

Hi! Monster armor class is like character armor class: the lower it is, the harder the monster is to hit (since to hit, you need to roll 1d20 and get a result equal to or lower than your fighter level plus the opponent's armor class, plus any other modifiers).

Regarding monster saving throws: yes, they have a common roll for everything. I realize now that I could have explained it better. Maybe after the jam, I'll correct the text to make it more understandable.

Oh I was mixing stuff from another game hahaha, thanks for your help!

I finally edited the file to clarify your question (and that of another person who asked whether you actually died at 0 HP or below). I'm uploading the updated file now.
