Game Idea

Hi,

I have an idea for an mmorpg game. However, i lack the skills and knowledge to make it happen (I only know web design and basic C). It is about an anime style openworld mmorpg with various race as playable characters.

1.)There's no levelling system. Characters can only raise their own stats or proficiency by experience gained through various activities (combat, training, eating, reading, solving puzzles, ect..)

2.)Characters gain traits and skills depending on their gameplay as well as qualification to evolve by meeting specific requirements. (Skills and Race have ranks and such.)

3.)There are also lots of combat, support, and lifestyle Classes as well as Titles like Noble Ranks, Kings, Etc..

So far, I only have drafts of my idea. I just want to share because i want to know if its something possible to do or not?

The upgrade system sounds good though it would be pragmatic IMO. That is, if you say solve puzzles and read most of the time, your int might increase highly but your str would be low so you can't do physical combat.

Characters gain traits and skills depending on their gameplay as well as qualification to evolve by meeting specific requirements

I'm not sure what this means. I mean how do you judge player's gameplay?

3.)There are also lots of combat, support, and lifestyle Classes as well as Titles like Noble Ranks, Kings

Hmmm... this would need more elaboration.

When it comes to possible to do or not, well to be blunt, since you can't code and you don't have a team, it is impossible.

Thanks for replying. For number 1, if your Int is higher than str and can't do physical combat, they can instead do magical combat like a mage. You focus on Vit, you become a tank and such.

About the number 2, it means you get skills based on your activities. Example: You like to do stealthy combat, then you have a high chance to get skills related to it. Stats will also be a factor in some skills. When you reach a certain requirement, your race evolves which also boosts stats. (Ex: Goblin> Hobgoblin> Ogre)

Number 3 is kind of the same with number 2. You don't choose class, you get class based on your gameplay which also upgrade/evolve. Titles can have some authority over something. Like a noble managing a region, etc..

Though, all of this is just an idea of mine for now, as I'm still learning to code. What i want to know is if this is something that is actually doable if someone knows how to code.

Sorry for confusion. English is not my native language.

MMORPG is monumental game to create.  Most companies won't make MMORPG let alone newbies who can code.

Since you're a newbie, I highly suggest making simple and small game first. Then after you got it right, you can start adding RPG aspects there.
