[Godot] [Art] [Programmer] Seeking Team Members for a Dark Fantasy RPG

Hi, Everybody!

I’m building a small indie team to create a 3D cel-shaded, branching narrative dark fantasy RPG.
This is a project centered around deep storytelling, emotional resonance, and artistic expression.

The Core Concept:

The game will feature only five boss fights per run. The order you face them changes both the storyline and the boss mechanics.

Think of the combat depth of Elden Ring, mixed with the art style of Spellbreak (but with a different feel) all set within a world designed to explore 120 different branching storylines.

About Me:
I’m leading this project and will be contributing as a Music Composition, Narrative Writing and Creative Director.

This project is a passion-driven collaboration. My goal is to create an experience that leaves a lasting impression and evokes emotion, while giving every contributor a chance to paint their life experiences onto this shared canvas.

Team Roles I'm Looking For:
Programmer (Godot)
2D Artist
3D Artist
Animator
UI/UX Artist

Compensation & Commitment:

This is an unpaid collaboration to start. No one is working “for” anyone. W’re building together. Once we develop a prototype or vertical slice, I plan to launch a Patreon or GoFundMe for community funding.

All team members will receive full credit and a fair revenue share if/when the project earns funding or releases commercially.

The Goal:

To form a small, passionate team who want to build something beautiful and meaningful, not just another game.

If you’re interested in joining or learning more, DM me or comment below with your portfolio or a short intro. Let’s make something unforgettable.

Hi BluNotes,

This sounds like a genuinely inspiring project — I really appreciate the focus on emotional storytelling and artistic expression. The idea of a five-boss structure with branching narratives is both elegant and ambitious, and the combination of Elden Ring-style combat with a stylized, cel-shaded aesthetic feels like it could really stand out.

I’m a Unity programmer with strong experience in gameplay systems, prototyping, and scalable code architecture, but I also have the same experience with Godot and am comfortable transitioning over for the right creative project. I love working on narrative-driven experiences, especially those that blend mechanical depth with meaning and atmosphere.

I’d love to learn more about your current progress, the scope for the prototype or vertical slice, and how you’re envisioning the first few months of development.
If you’d like, we can connect on Discord to chat

Hello, I really like the idea of dark fantasy, and one of my favorite games is Elden Ring, although I don't know if my art-style fits your project but just in case I'm leaving my portfolio: https://cara.app/idazul

Hello! I have really wanted to get into programming in Godot, just never really had anything to work with and I also make 2D art! I was mainly thinking of having this as practice and not actually being deep into the project do to inexperience.

you’re welcome to collaborate how you can! What’s your discord?

Hello! I'm a 3D artist, leaning toward the character creation side. I looked up Spellbreak just to see the style that you're aiming for and its sooo right up my alley! I have no prior industry experience so this gig is actually great for me to try out my skillset and work with a talented team of developers. I'm  gif.guni on discord.
