How should I promote my game?

The first version of my game was for a very specific niche.

I wanted to make the second part for a more general audience.

How do you recommend I let that more general audience know that they can play my game without seeing anything they don't like?

Lately, I've been limiting myself to promoting on Reddit, but there aren't many communities where I can do that, and I think my main problem is the way I search for my target audience.

Any advice?

I would suggest separating the second part from the first one, especially if they're targeted to separate people. It can make it a little hard to convince someone the second part isn't related to the first part. Also, it's a little to late to do marketing now that you already released it, and will soon be off of the recent page and other visibility boosts that new games get. I also linked to a blog that is a great marketing resource. Do know that it is mainly targeted to having success on Steam, and if you really want to reach a more general audience you should release on Steam, but the marketing principles should transfer over. https://howtomarketagame.com/

Thanks!
I think it's difficult to separate the two parts considering that the lore is the same.
