Greetings, I want to start by saying I freaking love this game, I see so much potential in it and it's community. So much so I went out of my way and made a character of my own which I want to share with you: The Elf Sorceress

Drawn and designed by me, I tried to adhere to the lore as much as possible and when I saw the Goblin Lord mentioning elves I felt I had the green light. However, despite the modding guide being so useful and clear, I'm no programmer and I have next to zero knowledge about modding so she is still flawed, like her sprite being placed a bit too far to the right. But know that I made her with a lot of love and care and I hope you can enjoy her.

23/08/25 Update: Fixed some spelling errors and her sprites and hitbox should be in the correct position now.

If you like my art and want to see more, I included my DeviantArt in a note file. Keep in mind I am NOT a vore artist, like I said I went out of my way just for this amazing game.

She is supposed to be a long range glass cannon and her stats reflect that, but since skills are not enabled for modded characters she is super weak, all enemies will immediatly focus her. You can always modify her stats or just keep her around to enjoy her dialogues. I will list the abilities she is supposed to have in case anyone want to play with the code for her or as a spoiler for when they enable modded abilities.


ATTACKS:

"Spell: Magic Circle" - EN cost: 40 Range 2-4   "Deals minor damage to target and all units around it. Can be used on an empty tile."

"Spell: Telekinesis" - EN cost: 40 Range 1-5  "Deals minor damage but great stun damage to the target. If the unit is KOd or stunned by this attack, it is pulled towards Elf Sorceress. If the unit ends up next to her, she swallows them."

"Spell: Teleportation" - EN cost: 60 Range 1-5 "Select a tile. If it’s empty Elf Sorceress teleports to it, if it’s occupied, she instead teleports the unit to her stomach (Stomach permitting). If Elf Sorceress is overencumbered the EN cost is doubled."

SKILLS:

"Spell: Magic Missile" - "Elf Sorceress’ regular attack has a range of 1-4."

"Spell: Levitation" -"Elf Sorceress moves by air, she can move over water but can’t select water as destination and ignores terrain height when moving."

Great work and nice design. You clearly put a lot of love into this. I might download this later (would like to see if it's safe to do so or not. Take no offence, it's just that there's been a LOT of scammers here as of late and you're new to the modding scene, so I'd like to wait and see).

Oh no, I tried downloading your mod, but it's a . rar file. Damn, I am (and a lot of other people) not going to pay for winrar, so this file type is essentially inexecutable. I'd recommend turning it into a zip so that more people can enjoy your hard work.

very good stuff! would you mind if I ported this to 0.13a myself, along with 0.12a and 0.13a vt+ support? (and maybe reposting it to vorecade too if that's fine)

btw I also saw you partially took some stuff from vt+ in the class.txt file, though you should probably remove them as it does tend to cause crashing for some people upon loading the character in

Also, is there a place where I can ask more technical questions like how to displace the character sprite/move the interaction hitbox or questions about characters' stats?

you can ask me, I'm kinda the main person to go to when it comes to modding stuff lol

for modifying hitboxes, theres a function in the main menu called "Import Mod" that lets you edit sprite positions / hitboxes; you enter the name of your character's folder (case-sensitive) and from there you can do as you need to

for stats, here's a list of what they do:

  • hp: how much damage your unit can do before they go unconscious
  • en: resource that gets used up before your unit goes hungry
  • atk: how much damage attacks deal
  • def: how much damage your unit takes (applied as a flat damage reduction)
  • vatk: how successful your vore moves are to hit
  • vres: how likely your unit is to avoid vore moves
  • skl: affects attack and vore moves hit chances
  • spd: affects both hit chance and dodge chance

That's a huuuuge help, I was wondering what affected the dodge chances, thank you! I also thought SPD determined turn order.

Is there a stat that reduces struggle power of prey?

it does do that too yeah, forgot about that oops

struggle gets reduced the lower the unit's health is, so it's mainly effective at higher hp (and can also be lowered with other abilities such as chateau's passive or avalon's detain)

So no stat but other factors do, gotcha. Thank you again.

I meant to say there is a dedicated struggle stat, tho the amount is specific to each character like with stun

Dude, it took me a couple of days to figure the Import Mod thing. It was not fixing the sprites position. 

Apparently it saves the coordinates but doesn't replace them and I was not noticing that... again, not a programmer ^__^"

Anyways, I uploaded a new version with the sprites fixed.

Yay! Glad to read this, I just hope she adjusts to VT's elf lore/appearance once they are officially out. I did try to present a reason why she might not, but we'll see =)
