Games not working

I've a couple games downloaded from Itch.io that I have been planning on playing, some I've already been playing for a few days. However, whenever I tried to start one of the games, my cursor would have the loading icon, but then nothing would happen. The game doesn't start, no error window pops up, just as if I didn't even do anything. I know this relates to some of the other games I downloaded because the same thing happens, and I know this is related to Kadokawa because every game I downloaded from this site that doesn't work has Kadokawa in the company name slot. It's weird because whenever I check my task manager window, I can see a listed program labeled "games (32 bit)" running and I can end the task just fine.

I tried reinstalling one of said games, but the same thing happens, so does whenever I restart the computer. Plz help.

Also I'm pretty sure the games were made from RPG Maker MV, if that helps.

It's pretty easy to check if all those games are from one creator, and ask them directly. There is none on Itch.io by the name you mention however. What company name slot would that be? You can reach the creator's profile from a game page by following the "View all by X" link, either in the upper right corner of the page, or else in the footer.

I'm saying this because for getting help your best bet is to contact the creator, at least via game comments if they don't offer any better way.

I guess I should have been more specific, my bad there. All the games with the problem were from different creators, except for 2 of them, but I think all of these games were made from the same game creator, RPG Maker MV, which was made by Kadokawa.

Now that I think about it the problem might be in either my computer and/or RPG Maker MV. If that's the case I don't know if I should go to one of the RPG Maker forums and ask there or not.

It happens. Certain engines simply don't work on certain computers. For instance, I can't play any Unity game, they always crash on startup (with rare exceptions in the past). And that's a problem for me, because most games nowadays are made with Unity. On the other hand, I can play RPG Maker MV games just fine. Go figure.

By all means, if you can go ask in the RPG Maker forums, it's an idea, and might just help. Good luck!

I don't know what happened but now all of the games in question can work. It probably was because of something in my PC. Thanks for trying to help anyways
