How do you get some help about a game?

I'm having some trouble, I bought a game and wasn't aware that you needed to unzip the dang file to play it. Now my computer's screaming at me to get WINZIP and I'm like NO I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT. So I'm really mad now and want my money back if I can't play the game! Is there a way to get the game without requiring me to buy a whole friggin' software program?

Sorry, I'm just really frustrated with this.

Every modern operating system can open a .ZIP file without external help. Just double-click on it. If that fails for any reason, there's no shortage of free archive managers (and file managers) that can do it, for example 7Zip. Oh, and last time I checked, WinZip was shareware. You don't have to pay for it -- not at first, anyway.

ZIP is quite literally the most widely supported archive format. Any other option would be less flexible.

Thank you! I really dislike not knowing computer's abilities well, and I am trying to learn, but good grief, it can be frustrating. Thank you for explaining this!

Also, the itch.io app will help you download, extract and play games without even knowing if they're a .zip file or not!

We've tried making it the best way to play itch.io games, especially for those who prefer not to handle every little detail manually.
