I would clearly prefer a subscription model instead of shadowing my work

Itch is a great place for indie devs, I'm very grateful to people standing behind this project.

I'd happily subscribe to it or support it with a onetime donation, but there is no such an option.

Unfortunately, current algorithms silently shadowing older accounts making free games. Despite having thousands of players, my games are not discoverable on the site, including the search. The support is silent.

I believe there is great potential for improvement here.

...The "demo" version of your game has no files at all. It can't show up in searches according to our rules.

The full version only has a text file as  a placeholder. You also just published it two days ago, and it's the weekend.

Having two separate game pages just to offer a demo version isn't recommended, either, according to the quality guidelines.

Thank you for the response.

My game is played in the browser, it's intentionally not downloadable.

The demo isn't discoverable (prohibited in public settings), I have only the full release which I'd like to be discoverable.

Unfortunately, this "only 2 days rule" isn't working as I tested with previous builds. At one point I had the demo, and only it, publicly available (also web-build) for months and it never appeared anywhere on itch.io.

It's certainly not going to happen after only two days on a weekend.

Thank you for the clarification. I hope the game will appear some time :)

That being said, I'd still like to see and use different options of supporting itch.io besides rev share.

The value of this platform for indie devs is hard to be overestimated.

I also checked every point of the "quality guidelines." you provided and I can confirm that my full release game meets every requirement.

You're right, my bad.

It's been 4 days since the full game released, averaging about 1000 plays per day. The game still isn't visible anywhere, including the search.

It's my only public game shown on the profile, it meets all the required itch.io criteria.

As far as I know, according to my previous experience, this issue will not get resolved by itself.

Would you look into it, please?

I've just looked into "Recent" itch.io games: there are many games published and discoverable within the last out, including web-only.

My game was published 5 days ago still remains invisible.

There is definitely a lack of transparency and misguiding communication involved.

What can I do to resolve the situation?

Another day have passed. My game now has 5000+ plays, is the only game in my profile, but still isn't visible anywhere on itch.io.

Yes, as explained in this unofficial FAQ, it can take longer. Please wait.

Thank you for the update.

I can confirm that the game is now visible and I've heard back from the support as well.

Thank you for the assistance ❤️
