  1. What do you think about the puzzles in the lab? Would you like more of these kinds of puzzles?
  2. What do you think about the "combat" system? Would you want there to be more of this combat in the game?
  3. What did you think of the new tentacled animation?
  4. Did you explore every room in the lab?
  5. Would you want to see an additional scene or dialogue with any of the lab characters?
  6. Do you want more or less exposition, like what the lab has?
  7. Did you open the lockers?

Just finished the update, here's my thoughts:

  • It was nice to have the puzzles be a bit more focused this time, and I really appreciate that you kept accessibility in mind from the start. I thought the puzzle involving adding and removing essence to reach a specific number was neat, reminded me of a certain boss in Final Fantasy 14.
  • I won't lie, when I saw "combat simulation," I got very worried. I appreciate that it was more of an observation puzzle than a full-on RPG battle.
  • Tentacles aren't my thing personally, but I do like the way they were explained in this new setting.
  • I think I explored every room. Didn't go too far in the bathrooms since I figured they were all the same.
  • This is probably the best spot to say this: I'd really like an expansion to the gallery where you can go to a special area where you can talk to some of the NPCs you met beyond just gallery scenes. Maybe even chat with some of the people you save from the corruption. Having more dialogue options that unlock as you progress through the game would be fun - learning what some characters have to say about certain effects is interesting.
  • I feel like a bit more exposition might be good. It might also be nice to have a spot in the gallery where you can look at all the lore pieces you've found, maybe with just one interactable that opens a list.
  • I definitely looked in the lockers, figuring there was something in them.

All in all, I feel like this was a pretty solid update. I also appreciate the change to the dev room, placing area-specific sprites in their own rooms. (And this isn't a game design thing, but I did like the new gallery scenes - nipple penetration that doesn't involve male parts is something I personally like.)

I do have a question of my own - do you have plans to add any bigger sizes, or is 1600 going to stay the max?

Firstly, thanks for the feedback.

I'm glad you liked the puzzles and "combat". I think it's kind of funny being made in RPGM but not using the RPG combat, but it saves me a lot time involving balancing and additional mechanics.

Hmm, that gives me an idea actually. I've been kind of unsure about what to do about the casino, but now that I think about it I could put the saved NPCs in there so you can talk to them after being saved. If I do that it'll be with the extra storage modes update.
I did add a little bit of additional dialogue for the lab NPCs. Both the Drs have a multiple dialogues and Miranda will mention she ended the lockdown to Shelly and Gregory. I was considering having Miranda interact more than that but that will have to be later.

To answer your question, I might increase the max size a little more, but it definitely won't go beyond the limit of 2000. I'm not sure if people can even tell, but at the current max size there are a few images missing, which is part of what I'm going to rectify with the next update.

Also, I'm betting that someone is going to do the whole lab and not touch a single locker and then learn that they can open the lockers somewhere else.

I figured the question about the lockers was out of a worry that people might not look. It was partly my player's intuition, but if you're worried, I do have a suggestion. Maybe there could be a note somewhere advising faculty to keep some spare equipment in their lockers, serving as a hint to players?

It's actually more out of curiosity to see if they did.

  1. I enjoyed them. I’m a puzzle kind of guy, so personally, yeah, I would like more puzzles.
  2. I thought the combat system was fine, but it wasn’t really my favorite thing. I could take or leave more.
  3. I liked it, very nice and weighty.
  4. Uh… I’m pretty sure I did, lol.
  5. Oh definitely, I’d like to get more with Shelly and Gregory if possible. They felt underdeveloped.
  6. I enjoyed the lore, but at times it did seem to go on a bit too long. It might do to split it up into smaller chunks a bit more spread out.
  7. I did. Pretty sure I opened every one I could, despite the fact that a big chunk were traps.

P.S. I remember the “My Lovely Ushichichi” from so long ago… and now, with these extra years of wisdom under my belt, I finally understand… “Ushichichi” literally means “cow tits”. Makes me think Miranda might have her work cut out for her on the whole “improving the rights of Ushis” thing, lol.

I appreciate the feedback.

5. I had originally planned for a completely different interaction with those characters, but I couldn't figure out how to work that into the how the story had changed so I scrapped that idea and went with just the simple interactions I have now. I might add another scene with each of them eventually.
6. I made the lore in the lower lab optional and called it a lore dump for a reason lol. The final area won't have that much of a lore dump.

I actually stole the word Ushichichi from a hentai which is now pretty old. The dev note in the gallery says the actual name of it.
