Need help figuring out movement.

I am making a game, Sky. It is tile-based, so you are completely on a single tile at any time.

I'm wondering if it would be better to make an animation when you walk, so it doesn't seem like you're just teleporting a bit forwards, or make it not tile-based, so you can always be walking between two tiles.

This is my first question I have posted, so I'm not sure if this is the correct way to do it.

I'm moving this to the general development board. This board is for asking questions about itch.io specifically.

The question is how do you want it to be played it? Will this be a puzzle game with movement being important in someway or does 1 move space does something?

It's supposed to be a game based around pushing blocks around, mostly.

Then you want to move the characters legs when player press forword or back.

Thanks for the help.-I'll try that!
