Some of your subjects (both slave and subordinate) will develop relationships with other subjects. Working the same job seems to increase the chance and occasionally having sex together. Sometime subject will fall in love with themselves pretty sure thai is a bug. Anyway more intense relationships give some minor benefits. Even rivals get a productivity boost. An numerical relationship index is kept for each pair.
