Dear itch.io admins

I found out that my game was flagged with this information:

Why did you mark my game as a potential scam? Is it decided by an algorithm or by some person and his/her whim? What kind of suspicious behavior is mentioned there? Why did no one contact me and inform me about that info.

It scares people away, who usually decide not to play because itch.io notices the problem and warns about it. Wouldn't it be better to verify published content before making it with available the whole community?

My publication contains nothing but the game and its supporting files - all files included in download packages have been described. There is no malware there, the files are not protected by any password…

If anyone would like to check it out - I will be happy to help, because I have nothing to hide.

I think a good solution would be an email to the publisher, and a note like - "The content you published has been recognized as a potential scam. To gain credibility, follow the guidelines (here's information about what the publisher should do)".

Please, don’t take this topic as some kind of complaint or grievance – none of that. I simply would like to receive information on a topic that is important to me.

Thanks
