Hello community! I would like to share my prototype of a game based on the color wheel. I will be updating the game in more complete versions and different levels. As well as the artwork.

But I would like to know if I get any feedback regarding the gameplay and the main mechanics of the game.

Thanks for your time to play it. Greetings!

RAINBOW INVADERS

BETA version

An invasion of beings that use the rainbow to attack the Earth will be resisted by our protagonist, who has created a chromatic laser weapon.

Okay, but please write a few words about your game and add a screenshot to your post like the rules say.

Thanks for your time. I've already added an introduction to the game and a screenshot. I'll add more gameplay images in a few days when I update the final sprites. By the way, I've updated the game with more visual and audio feedback. I've also improved the controls, so you can now rotate and shoot with the mouse.

Sounds good, but I meant your post, not your game page.

Yo, wassup?

I just played the game for a few minutes, and here's some feedback I can instantly give you:

  1. The controls are too confusing. I'd recommend using the mouse to aim and shoot while WASD is used for movement;
  2. The tutorial isn't clear. I couldn't focus on the text while there was enemies coming, and I still don't know how to kill them;
  3. Although you say this is a prototype, I recommend you at least to use better placeholder sprites (like simple forms). You can also add more juicy feedback to the game, like screen shake and particles;
  4. I don't like the music. Honestly, it doesn't fit with the game, and it sounds like it's made by AI.

Your game idea looks fun, I wish you luck for the project.

Thanks for your time. I've updated the game with more visual and audio feedback. I've also improved the controls, so you can now rotate and shoot with the mouse. I'll update the final sprites in a few days. I'll add original music soon. That song is a free jazz classic, but it's perhaps too chaotic and dissonant for the game.

I'll playtest it as soon as I can. 👍
