Admin Elaboration - Web Project Re-Queue Process? - Adding Downloads

Hi @Admins, I’d like to ask for your assistance to better understand the queue process. I’ve emailed Support on the error I’m experiencing,  (request #269641), with my public web tool project which has been out since Oct 2024, (project ID: 3035327). I’ve read the quality FAQ & getting indexed list as well:

My web tool project was published since 2024 Oct. It appeared in listing and search by the tags. But no longer appears by its tags. But it’s not clear why; no email notice has been sent.

I suspect it is due to adding downloads onto my browser web tool project, April 2025.. Do projects go back into queue or are delisted for review, when adding downloads on long-time projects?

Far as core actions that could have led to a re-review is adding downloads to the project and also regularly updating the project with new features week to week via .zip upload.

Can admins elaborate on if adding downloads can cause a re-queue? The FAQ does not cover the case of an already published/indexed project going back into queue due to the addition  of downloads.

(Stats: Web Browser Game has 30 Ratings, 6000 Views, 3500 Plays, 10 tags, 2 downloadables)

As explained in the unofficial FAQ that you linked to, certain changes can cause your projects to be placed back in the review queue. I don't think it's a simple rule. And no, itch.io support doesn't send e-mail to notify you of changes. Also they don't read the forum or explain how the system works. But I'll let our admins know.

Thanks @NoTimeToPlay for the quick reply and passing the issue on to the devs/admins.

I’ll wait to release my other new GameDev tools until the Support or Admin reply to the ticket, incase it’s a system issue, mistaken flag or an account issue. Thanks @NoTime.

RESOLVED. Thanks @Support/Admins for resolving the indexing issue. My project was appearing by tags & search, before April 1st. April 1st was when I added downloads onto the free web game. That triggered it to go back through the queue process to get re-listed by tags again.
