Unfortunately the demo version features only what you probably already discovered. The world in Soulash is consistent and changing the region is happening on the background (new region names are displayed above the minimap when you move from one place to another). There will be more regions coming in the proper alpha version of the game, but if you would like to see a sneakpeak I've shared quite a bit of different regions and ability animations on twitter.
The river, forest and Kabula, yes. The world will essentially be a one area which will be a much bigger world with different locations. I was so used to calling it regions because these are 64x64 maps connected to each other to form the world, in case of this demo there are 4 of such regions but they may be perceived as a single map.
