I am writing to request a username change for my current account called 'AvdainHQ'. I would like to change it to 'avdain' which seems to be associated with another account. 

In my opinion, this change would greatly benefit my presence on the platform as I am also the owner of the domain avdain.com. The username 'avdain' would help create a single brand identity across the platforms, making it easier for users to find and recognize my work.

If it is possible, I would appreciate it if you could get in touch with the current user of the 'avdain' account to discuss the possibility of transferring the username. I am confident that we can find a solution to make this change.

This does not sound like a thing Itch would do. 

But you might or might not be aware that search on Itch was changed some months ago. Your display name is now searchable. It previously was not. In other words, no one is gonna type out your brand name in an url.
