Asset Release announcement threads question

I've tried making Release threads in the past for pixel packs as I release them. But the threads usually just disappear immediately in the deluge of new threads and content.

Instead of making another new thread each time an asset is released I'd like to try making a single thread for all (related) released pixel packs and just updating the thread each time the next one is released and possibly altering the title and original post with news about the newest pack release and content. This way I can just have all the related asset packs connect to a single master thread where any comments or questions could be gathered. Is doing this sort of release thread format (instead of individual threads) ok with Itchio?

Thanks!

Here is an example of two related packs:

I don't think we have a rule against it. Sounds like a thing to try.

Ok thanks, I guess I'll try to do it that way and see if people have any issues. Itchio does seem to be more chill about how you organize things than some other places.

The sorting order in the “Release Announcements” forum works differently than the other forums. You can not “bump” a topic there by posting it in. The sorting order is determined by when the post was originally created and a few other factors. You’re more than welcome to continue to post in the same topic, but keep in mind how the threads are sorted.

Thanks, that's quite useful to know. Yeah I ended up feeling like it was easier to just do it with individual threads after all so I don't have to try to shuffle content around. Maybe there's a benefit to one big thread (assuming it even gets seen), but for now individual threads are easier and given what you've said probably get seen more anyway unless you've got a huge following.
