Can my game appear at the top of the page?

Hello!

I posted my game a year ago, and I've noticed that several games appear in the new games section when they make an update, and I wanted to know if it's possible if my game can also be shown that way, I've uploaded several updates, but the last one I uploaded has a lot more content than other versions, and I also made a lot of changes and added a lot of new features and more than an hour of story... even so, I don't see my game showing up in the new games section, and just now I saw that other games are shown as new when they only made an update.

Is this a bug?

If any moderators see this post, I hope they can help me a little with this problem.

Yes, as explained in lots and lots of topics, you can post a devlog to your game page marked as Major Release or Update, and after staff review your game can be placed back at the top of Most Recent.

But do you know how long it can take?

I've been waiting for months to get back to the top of the page after updating, and I never saw it, and just two days ago I did this big update, but I still don't see it, but I can see several games that have been brought back to the top of the page, and they uploaded their update after mine…

Can you help me with this?

Please, I really need help with this problem.

First, did you see the rules of this category where it says not to ask this sort of question?

Second, staff might not bump your game back to the top after reviewing your devlog. There's no guarantee. You might be waiting for nothing.

Third, please focus on promoting your game through any other channels. That's how you get long-term visibility, not like the short-lived spike from being in Most Recent. Listings on itch.io are a convenience to creators and players, not a way to promote games.

You have 260 followers. By Itch standards, you are very successful. Especially considering your use of stable diffusion and the nieche nature of your content.

You might want to polish your game page and your tag usage a bit. There are tags your game needs that are not there. So people looking for that kind of content can find it by tag search.
