Purchases go wrong.

Hello,

I just noticed that the amounts of money taken by Itch from my bank account don't match the prices of my purchases.

Indeed, I bought 4 games for $2.99, $2.50, $1.75 and $1.00 and the amounts taken by Itch from my bank account are $3.59, $3.00, $2.10 and $1.20.

I just called my bank to ask for explanations and they answered that these are the amounts taken by Itch and if they are wrong then the issue comes from Itch.

How come that Itch takes wrong amounts?

I contacted Itch support about this 15 days ago and they still didn't reply...

Hello,

Sorry we didn't get back to you sooner. We replied to the email you sent to our support ticket.

For anyone else reading this topic: VAT was applied to the purchase and increased the base price. The final amount is always shown on the page where a credit card is entered.

Thanks

Yes, I confirm, I read the e-mail before coming here and it was indeed a misunderstanding due to the fact that I forgot to add the VAT to the price of the games.

And as I said in my e-mail reply, this misunderstanding would not have happened if the e-mail receipts for purchases from Itch did mention the VAT and show the final price instead of saying "you purchased this for this base price" and that's it.

When I checked my bank account some time later, I forgot to add the VAT because Itch forgot to add it in the receipts.

Indeed, as you said, the VAT is added and the final amount is always shown on the page where a credit card is entered, but it is missing in the receipts, this is how I got confused when I checked my bank account some time later and saw that the amounts taken by Itch didn't match the amounts in my receipts.

So I suggested in my e-mail reply to add the VAT and show the final price in the receipts to make sure that there is no confusion.

Thank you.
