My game in first page

I have a problem, I have a FullMODE game, and I finished it a year ago in Gdevelop 5, because it is already older in Unity. Anyway, the second to last time I contacted support, some moderator (or said something like that) said that only puts games on the first page if they are in "released", I found it strange because no one charged me, so someone could put my game "Espada de Sheris" on the first page, and if no moderator wants to put my game on the home page, it's no problem, because I saw several games on the home page of the site that didn't even have comments. Anyway, thanks for answering me.

I think there is some confusion.

Moderators are community moderators and do not have the power to put games on or off the main page.

If you contacted support, then you got a response from a staff member (which is not the same as a moderator) and I think you are referring to the "Featured Games" that appear on the main page

https://itch.io/

Those games are hand-picked by the staff and there is nothing you can do to get on there except try to create a good game with good quality.

If instead, you are referring to "Popular" or "new and popular" when you enter through

https://itch.io/games

That is an automatic algorithm that measures several factors, such as the release date of your game and how popular it is.

So, I'm referring to the games on the front page, meaning I can't get in touch with them? If I can, do I need to give something in return?

You can, but it may even be counterproductive.

There are several posts where they talk about how Itch doesn't accept payments or anything similar to promote games and if you try to search for it with that sole purpose, you may be ignored.

Make sure your game and page are of good quality and promote the game. You can promote it and mention Itch on twitter for example to get their attention and if the staff likes your game, they may promote it.
