Anyone else worried about the future of itch.io seeing that more sites are banning all type of content?

Already said this but the tch.io team need to bring transparency and clarification more then ever if they are under any pressure to change there TOS because of payment processors, Creators need to know if itch.io is planning to change there TOS or bring in new bans on content anytime soon.

We have seen how much Gumroad has botch the PR side of this, And going radio silence and posting how much they earned while there creators were panic selling did not help, itch.io will lose all its trust its build up over the years over night if they do the same thing. I don't think they will do a ban anytime soon seeing what they tweeted during the gamejolt stuff but a update on where they still stand would be very important for all developers on this site now more then ever.

So I ask the tch.io team please give us a response soon and if you are a dev on here please start sending emails asking for transparency and clarification on this issue.

Are you referring to A.I. generated content or Adult content? Could you be more specific?

Adult content, many of the sites seem to be fine with A.I generated content...

Seeing how Steam sells adult games and relaxed on AI, and Patreon has a lot of adult games as well, I would not worry too much.

But an alternative payment processor that has some indie vibes would be nice. Intermediate companies overimposing their own agenda and world views on things are bad. The underlying banks and credit card companies have no qualms with all this "controversial" stuff. If it legal you can pay for it. Or how do people think all those actual adult content creators make money? Do people think that those cam girls get cash per snail mail? The problem is the microtransactions. Paying three dollars for a game with a service that gobbles up more than that three dollars for a transaction is just not doable. Main reason why things like bitcoin are never gonna work.

Yeah I don't think itch.io will start doing that atleast not anytime soon but I agree they should have more payment processors, I do also know there are problems with chargebacks for content creators and sites.
