Question related to payment in dollars

I am not sure what you are actually asking.

Credit cards have no problem with payments in different currencies. This has nothing to do whatsoever with itch.

If you paid someone with your credit card, it is the terms of your credit card that apply. Look in the terms and conditions of your credit card contract. There often is a fee in % in addition to the currency conversion rate.

Some credit cards can have more than one currency, so if you pay the debt on your credit card, your local bank might have a different (better or worse) fee.

Technically, you can't. You will be charged in €, but the reciepient will get $. Your payment service will essentially buy the currency on the market as a service. It is similar as when you would go to your local bank and exchange currencies.

You will also be charged value added tax extra, but this has other reasons.

It depends on your bank and the type of card. It is best to ask your bank. An alternative is to use paypal.

Yeah, if the bank gives you the credit card and has this currency exchange not as a service, it won't work.

Funnily enough, while paypal does has this service their currency exchange fee is rather high, so I always tell them to not do it, but charge me in the currency I am paying, because the fee of the actual service that is used to pay paypal is lower.
