Popular game isn't showing up unless I specifically search its name

I've made a game called "Ragdoll torture!". It's a pretty popular game and for 6 months you could find it just by searching "Ragdoll". Now, If you search "Ragdoll" It's nowhere to be seen! Even when you search by tag. If i search "Ragdol torture!" It won't show up unless it is EXACTLY "Ragdoll torture!". I don't understand why this happens and my game has lost more than half of its players because of this. Please help.

I've read the index but if i haven't been indexed it should not even show up when i search up the full name.

That's how search is designed to work. You shouldn't rely on partial title searches, especially for very generic terms. Please promote your game outside itch.io, too. But if it can be found, that means it's indexed.

Oh alright. The only thing is, for 6 months-1 year, basically since i posted my game, i could find it by searching keywords like "ragdoll" and "torture". Guess the page got an update. Also, some un-popular old games like "Across the Ragdoll-verse" with only 1 comment shows up when i search up ragdoll. Guess i thought popular games were more on top

unless it is EXACTLY "Ragdoll torture!"

Uhm. No. You can leave the ! . But mistyping the doll to dol does not do good things to the relevance thing with generic terms.

In other words, your game's name is neither relevant for the name part ragdoll, nor for name part torture, only to the compound.

Also, your game does show up for all of the following search terms. "torture ragdoll" "torture rag"  "rag torture".  And even "rag tort" and the "ragdol torture" and "ragdol torture!"

There may be or not be a certain truncating for less relevant items that might be random. So if enough items will be found that are relevant to the exact spelling, it does not search much further for less relevant items or short game descriptions. This is illustrated by the fact that your game currently does not show up at all for ragdoll alone, nor for torture. But there is a game showing up that has ragdoll in the title and torture in the short description.
