Do you like RTS games? Or are you looking for a project with a clear goal in mind? Then this might be for you :)

I'm looking for unity programmers for an RTS inspired by Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Supreme Commander and other games from the golden age of RTS games.

This game will take place in the near future and will feature slightly scifi units but with a very military feel to them. We are currently working on a demo for publishers and we are at about 70% of the way there. We already have a great audio SFX guy and some good programmers.

What are we looking for?

- Map creators (who can actually create the map in unity or are willing to learn)
- Programmers (at minimum 5 hours per week. Direct correlation between time spent & quality)
- 3D artists (show portfolio) - 2D artists (concept art, GUI art)
- Composers who can make Frank Klepacki style music (send the track that most closely resembles it please and/or make a small demo)
- General game developers (basically any role that knows a bit about development in unity but can spend a lot of time creating or improving levels, visuals, explosions, particle effects, animations or anything else that increases the projects quality even more

What are you getting?

Once funding comes in (roughly 3 months after the demo is completed, but no guarantee of course) you will get the choice of either a percentage of the profit or being paid an hourly amount of money, or a combination of both. Whatever you prefer at that point.

This game is also guaranteed to finish and the odds of getting a decent publisher are also higher than average. This is based both on past experience and the current agency that already does this professionally.

Future prospects

If working together is pleasant and productive then I also intend to actually hire you for future projects should you be interested.

Interested in completing a decent quality game?

Send me a DM with your portfolio / experience and why you want to join and let's talk! If you're applying as a programmer and don't have a portfolio just tell me a bit about what networking experience you have and if there are any projects you've completed so far ^^

Sorry I only speak english

I'm an illustrator who works in vector, I'm from Ukraine, I like the RTS genre, my favorite game is Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, RTS is now quite small, a dying genre, so, I'm a pro at creating games, etc., I an ordinary student who wants to try himself in creating something, the money is cool, but it does not interest me, I want to learn and get new experience, I can make a concept in 2D units, or whatever I can, I will learn.

Hey! I love this idea and the fact you've launched a successful game before really gives me confidence in the project. I've been aching to be part of a cool team making an awesome 3D game for a while now,  and this seems like a real neat opportunity.

My skills are in programming and general Unity tasks. I've been programming in C# for almost 4 years now. And I've done lots of polish work in Unity.

I've never worked on a project of this scope (or genre) before so I'm not especially qualified. The last time I did networking was in 2020, LAN on mobile, using Unity's old netcode. But I'm still a capable programmer (with over 3 years of Unity experience) and can learn whatever will make me useful. I can even just do tool programming! Every game needs tools!

And I also know how to use git (using a terminal too, though I usually don't).  I've committed to the Godot repository once, and have another PR in purgatory. (I'm hoping this convinces you of my ability to understand code written by others and my ability to follow procedures.)

You'll see all the games I've released on my itch profile. Despite that they're mostly 2D I do know 3D vector math.  I just never released any of my 3D prototypes, because they're always ugly and unpolished. As far as the time I have, I can certainly do 5 hours per week, probably more like 10 or more.

If you're still looking for help and think I'd be worth talking with, here's my discord name: @xenoparrot

(sorry I don't know how to DM or I would've)

Added you ^^
