Thank you for your input on this but generally speaking we are still in the same phase of the project. Even though a lot has been done. I will update the text again the moment the demo is done and we're in the next stage.

I did already update some of the text before posting this though, along with adding new images and a new video

Do you like RTS games? Or are you looking for a project with a clear goal in mind? Then this might be for you :)

I'm looking for unity programmers for an RTS inspired by Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Supreme Commander and other games from the golden age of RTS games.

This game will take place in the near future and will feature slightly scifi units but with a very military feel to them. We are currently working on a demo for publishers and we are at about 70% of the way there. We already have a great audio SFX guy and some good programmers.

What are we looking for?

- Programmers (at minimum 5 hours per week. Direct correlation between time spent & quality) - 3D artists (show portfolio) - 2D artists (concept art, GUI art) - Map creators (who can actually create the map in unity or are willing to learn) - Composers who can make Frank Klepacki style music (send the track that most closely resembles it please and/or make a small demo) - General game developers (basically any role that knows a bit about development in unity but can spend a lot of time creating or improving levels, visuals, explosions, particle effects, animations or anything else that increases the projects quality even more

What are you getting?

Once funding comes in (roughly 3 months after the demo is completed, but no guarantee of course) you will get the choice of either a percentage of the profit or being paid an hourly amount of money, or a combination of both. Whatever you prefer at that point.

This game is also guaranteed to finish and the odds of getting a decent publisher are also higher than average. This is based both on past experience and the current agency that already does this professionally.

Future prospects

If working together is pleasant and productive then I also intend to actually hire you for future projects should you be interested.

Interested in completing a decent quality game?

Send me a DM with your portfolio / experience and why you want to join and let's talk! If you're applying as a programmer and don't have a portfolio just tell me a bit about what networking experience you have and if there are any projects you've completed so far ^^

just did ^^

Hi Thomas,

Nice name! We could use some help in the 3D department but our standards are quite high and might also require use of some pre existing textures. If that's no problem to you please feel free to send me your discord ID.

Kind regards,
Thomas

You can share your discord handle and i'll add you ^^

We're a small indie team and we have been working on a cute platformer for a while now. We already have background music, but we'd love to change it up a bit. We'd like to have a few tracks that are similar to this one in style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSjAU2KFhAs

If you think you can make something like that please send me a message and some examples of similar work. When a publisher comes on board we can also renumerate some of the costs made, but until funding comes in our budget is unfortunately 0.

Eventually we want to release this game on most consoles as well.

If you're interested please let us listen to some similar tracks that you've already made. If you haven't then feel free to just experiment a bit and send us that instead. We currently don't have the time to go through entire portfolios, so if you could redirect us to some of the tracks you think are best that would be ideal ^^

Just added you. Might be good to remove your discord from here if you have my invite ^^. Could you show some gameplay footage there as well perhaps?

Hey guys and gals,

We have been working for quite some time now on a cute 3D platformer about a red panda. We intend to release that on PC, xbox, playstation and switch. We are looking for some marketing and business help with this project.

We have a few publishing contacts already, but we are not sure they are the right fit for this project. Currently we are working on the third demo and have all invested an x hundred hours in total to get to this point. We're approaching the third iteration of the demo. We are all working on this on a revshare basis.

What do we need you for?

We want to get this project signed by a decent publisher. To do that we need to look at their websites and do outreach. At the same time we want to work on a 'plan B' and start gathering wishlists ourselves, just in case. Because we want to have at least 50.000 wishlist additions before we release the game, and that requires a bunch of consistent marketing work (tiktok, facebook, reddit posts, streamer outreach). We're not opposed to doing this ourselves. But we are already pretty booked with the other tasks, so having a reliable member would be a great help there.

What do you get?

  • Having worked on a good quality project that actually gets completed
  • A percentage of the profit
  • If you become good enough at marketing then a job as well
  • Free training to learn a crapton about marketing and the indie games industry (based on 4 years/2000hours of information gathering and experimenting). All we ask in return is a minimum of 1 hour of your time/effort per day.

What else can you do?

Of course apart from the 1 hour per day that we require for this you're free to go as nuts as you want. The more skilled you become at this the better it is for everyone involved. And as soon as someone is really good at marketing that person becomes worth their weight in gold.

Interested?

If you're interested in this please send me your discord below. After that I will add you, we'll have a talk about how to set this all up and what your and our expectations are. And then we take it from there!

We're working on a mobile 'match 3' game that we are going to release this year. The programming part is being handled and so is the sound part. That leaves art.

To save ourselves some time we plan to start from some assets and modify those. If you're a 2D artist and want to try out working in a more professional setting and do a proper game release please send me your discord ID and we'll have a talk or two.

There is some compensation available and you'll get experience working in a team and dealing with client feedback.

Assets like these https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/2d/gui/ui-mobile-menu-game-159324 screenshot

Interested?

Please reply with your discord ID and a link to your portfolio. If you don't have a portfolio feel free to just send some of your work via Discord instead. We're open to beginners obviously as long as you are willing to put in time to get to the desired end result.

Not sure if the link works; it doesnt show anything in discord. Do you have an actual username instead?

Hey, thank you for your message. Could you send me your discord link? If you're willing to do a small programming intake assessment to double check your skill level then we can take it from there. How does that sound?

Currently we are using Photon Fusion. Its a big improvement on photon PUN. Although I am not currently fully satisfied on how smooth units etc move. So that could either be network related or movement related. We use A* pathfinding pro for the pathfinding and Github to make sure everyone works on their own branch before merging

The Red Alert 2 album. Adding you on discord now ^^. Curious to hear what you come up with there!
