DMCA - My game was uploaded without my permission

Hello, I'm the developer of "Lewd Falls".

My game was uploaded here without my permission, I've made a ticket yesterday (ID: 172481), but due to the danger of someone reuploading my game and doing something bad with it, I'm making this post too.

Please remove this page, so I can make my own and this doesn't happen again.

Stolen page: https://johnny-watkins.itch.io/lewd-falls

The only places that I officially posted it was on the F95 website, and my patreon page, which is not even linked on the stolen page:

https://www.patreon.com/lewdfalls

Thanks.

This will be interesting, what with the original creator reporting such things. Reported stuff can take a month to disappear. Or three. R-73370 is up since June. People even complain about anti virus and trojan alerts in comments. I only reported it two weeks ago. Sometimes it only takes days.

And it gets harder to spot legit games. Or in other words, how would anyone know, if that account you posted with, is the real deal, and the account that published the game is the faker? (yeah, I know your account is the real one, but I do not want to discuss how I know, lest the fakers learn from it)

I sincerely hope my case does not take months...

I agree that it is hard to spot legit games nowadays, and that's another reason why I posted on my Patreon about it, and I recommend anyone in the future who may have a problem like this to do the same, so it would be easier for the support team of itchio to know the problem is real.

Oh, they do know the problem is real. But they do not talk about it. The thing is, we (including you) only see the stuff that gets through. There could be 9, 99 or 999 things being blocked by busy itch staff and systems for every item that is visible. At one point there was a bug where such system got displayed to regular users, hinting at the deep part of the ice berg that itch is fighting.

For your problem, you should edit your posts and remove the links to the faker. All your links to it. It is not indexed, maybe never was, but let's not discuss that here.

Since you are new to itch: that means, no one can find the game on itch without a direct link. Such as in your postings. And those gets found by google. Quite quickly. So if you do not remove it, it will be you directing traffic to the fake game page.

I believe it is already too late, I actually found about it 3 days ago already on Google, I was searching for the name of my game since I knew it was being reuploaded in other websites that I don't really mind.
