Hello,

Is there any way to get a game to be able to be fullscreenable on mobile? When I enable the option for a full screen button it doesnt work on mobile. Thanks!

It seems there is an option you can toggle called 'Mobile Friendly' in the embed settings of your project.

Here is the full article about HTML5 games in the faq: https://itch.io/docs/creators/html5

Does this help?

Yes I have that enabled, however that just lets someone actually play the game on mobile. The problem is that fullscreen is not actually fullscreen, like a video, and I'm not even sure if full fullscreen on a mobile device is possible.

I tried both your games 'Ball Dodge' and 'World War Zoo'.

They both work as soon as I tap on the 'Launch' button. They instantly get into full screen for me.

That being said, 'World War Zoo' gives me the notice that it "may not run on my device, but I can try it anyway." I would assume this is the message supposed to appear if it is not set to 'Mobile Friendly'?

So... I am not sure why it does not work on your device. Do you have some stuff enabled in your device / mobile browser / itch.io settings?

I used Chrome to try it out. The phone is from... 2020? I do not believe I have enabled any peculiar settings about full screen, but I could be wrong.

As in it runs in full full screen? I am trying it out on an iphone 11 in safari, when I tap fullscreen nothing happens, it just highlights the button white but the search bar and tabs still appear. Perhaps it is something with apple or safari, for example the purple enemies in the ball dodge game appear jittery on my iphone 11, but not on my friend's android phone using chrome.

Yes, it launches in full screen just as a video would. I just have to tap the button to start the game, it instantly gets maximized.

The way you describe it, I would also assume that it is either an OS or browser related issue. I sadly have no knowledge about Apple/Safari, beside the fact that Android and iOS apps are two different things to do. You would assume HTML5 gets rid of incompatibilities, but maybe it is not that easy. Maybe you can find something of note by doing a google research?
