How can I make my game page better?

Store Page: Big World by Littleman27 (itch.io)

That is the store page for the game I am currently trying to promote. Since this is the first thing that the potential new players will see in the list of a bunch of other games (cover image) and will be their introduction to my game  (store page) which can influence them to download the game or move on... I want to try and focus on this area of development this time.

🎇What do you think I can do to improve? 🎇

It looks cool to me!  Maybe the game's title in the cover image would be good.

Thanks, I'll try that

I think the styling and text of your page are fine–the biggest concern from me is how those juxtapose with the screenshots.

Having a description that talks about ‘awe-inspiring landscapes’ and ‘breathtaking vistas’ next to screenshots of relatively flat green land with samey low-poly plants and what appears to be a very sharp edge of the world with a default Unity skybox in the back is not a good look for your product, and I think if you want your game to stand out more your best bet is to make it visually stand out more.

I suspect you might realize this already, at least subconsciously, since you tossed a caveat at the top of the page about coming updates. Imo it’s going to be tough to sell users on a promise of what you want the game to be, I’d still advertise (you can never start too early) but focus on making sure those updates that complete your vision actually land before worrying too much about downloads.

Great feedback, thanks. Yeah, for the next couple of updates, my main focus is going to be on the visual appeal of the game and making it more well-rounded as you mentioned about the skybox and flat land... I took a few things away from your feedback but what stood out most is the importance of making the screenshots reflect the description, I appreciate that and will work on it.

The first image I see from viewing the page for the first time is the header.

TBH the header is not interesting at all, even if you fix the mushroom clipping tree on the right side. You should design your world better first, make it look cool and enticing to explore. Then get some shots from the game and pick the best one for the header.

Good idea and good eyes on catching that tree clipping. Thanks for your feedback.

I'm not sure how you handled the placement of trees and grass, but it's a little off to me. I can see grass and trees floating above the terrain, which as a potential new player, that would be unappealing and probably an indication for the rest of the experience I would have playing. There is also a bunch of clipping that could be fixed too.

You want something eye-popping and alluring to grab the viewer's attention. Albeit you do have bright colors that would grab someone's attention, but taking a second glance brings out the flaws that the bright colors just can't fix nor hide. Some of the screenshots make the world feel empty too.

You can also see some trees have some kind of texture of what looks like grass on it, while the other trees are not textured in such a way. This looks/feels inconsistent and should flow nicely together, in which this doesn't. I would remove the textures from the trees that have them or adjust the other trees to match the aesthetic style that you have chosen.

Great feedback, thank you. I guess I overlooked the importance of those details.
