How to filter for games that run on real console hardware?

Hi all,

I love that there are so many PSX-inspired games these days, but it'd be nice if I could filter and see the ones that run on an actual PlayStation. Ditto for Gameboy games, etc. Is there any way to do this? If not... why not? It's a pretty important distinction, IMO. A "ROM" tag would do it, I think.

Cheers!

Because every time it's been suggested, there was a huge flamewar. Please don't ask why. This idea is so cursed, even trying to explain would make everyone start yelling again. I know from experience. Sorry about that.

Seriously, I've searched all the forums that are open here and I can't find a single argument against. Where is this huge flamewar you're talking about?

You can't just drop that in and not explain it. Who on earth would object to it? Or at least, could you point me to a thread where the argument has occurred?

I don't have any bookmarks, sorry. Like I said, simply trying to explain it makes people come out of the woodwork to yell. No idea why this particular issue is so contentious, but it happened several times, both here and on Discord., so I just started telling people who stay away.

I also would like this feature, but I don't have much hope considering search exclusions haven't even been added as a standard feature.
