Speedrunner Cube - A fast platformer about speedrunning

Hi, I’m currently making a game about a cube that can run very fast and can traverse different levels. Not long ago I released a small test map because I want some feedback in:

  • Art style: Am I good at pixel art and is it good?
  • Controls: Does the character feel responsive an satisfying to play with? (Controls in the description of the project)
  • Game mechanics: Are the game mechanics aside of the character are good enough to make interesting level design?
  • Camera: Does the camera interfere with gameplay or does it feel great?
  • Obviously bugs or any inconvenience while playing are very welcome.

A way I can describe what I want to achieve with the game is a platformer where the point is to beat procedural levels (the procedural part is not in the game yet) in the shortest amount of time possible while trying not to loose your momentum on the levels, exactly how a speedrunner will do a run of the orignal Super Mario bros.

I encountered no issues. The game is smooth and enjoyable. Flying is nice.

I’m happy you think that, I just want to ask if the wall jump is fine without a wall slide or should I add one?

It would make wall jumping easier. However, wall jumping is fluid if it's timed right. I'm fine with the challenge.
