Hey guys, I'm currently working on a chip tune soundtrack for my upcoming game Serenade of the Sirens.  Any feedback is appreciated!

I went through a few of the tracks, I think it sounds good. Some feedback (feel free to ignore):

  • I think you tend to use the same drum loop for an entire song (mostly). I think mixing it up with more variation could help a lot. For example, when the melody gets more intense, make the drum beat more intense
  • I think you can do more with panning. hard panning was pretty common for chips. In any case, adding some stereo effects will make the songs sound bigger
  • try to use more chiptune style effects: arps, slides and vibrato. it helps to make simple wave forms sound a lot more complex

I agree 100% with you feedback.  I hope to address all three points you've mentioned when it's time to release the game.  I also plan to use some effects with dynamics as well.  Thanks for listening!
