I try and make my covers reflect the games contents.  There are so many scam games on android where someone has spent longer making a flash cover than they've spent on the actual game.

The  second cover is more representative of your game. The first one looks like it could be anything -- a visual novel, etc.

The "PC Game" tag doesn't seem necessary. If you're uploading it to Itch or any other game site I think most people are going to assume it's a kind of game anyways. What would be more helpful is specifying what platforms it supports: Windows, Linux, OS X, Mobile, etc.

I really dislike the black-on-yellow text in both of them.  It doesn't fit the color scheme in the first one. The second one doesn't have a color scheme, which is already bad, but the black-on-yellow text just makes it worse.

I like yellow on black better than black on yellow, but I'm not sure that yellow needs to be there at all.  Or if you really like yellow, at least go for consistency and make all text the same color on the same background.

I prefer the first, realistic looks way more cool, while maybe just ONE object being colourized gets it a slight touch of "myth" to it? could be her hair being blond or a  or simple things to notice?

But isn't it similar for e.g. dvd-covers if they're designed in 3D or just shiny surface, maybe by a layered-level the more to flip the more it fades to a different pattern?

Which is a disadvantage compared to gifs or virtual games, over printed one's that can be in either plastic or steel-boxes (thinking of harrypotter's newspapers featuring moving images)...
