new wolf rpg editor user help

hello i am a really new "developer" not exactly one yet cuz im just dipping my toes in game development rn and i needed help on how to do stuff like cutscenes, custom battle screen if possible, and other stuff for a small simple game im thinking of making, any other wolf rpg users feel free to tell me anything i should know about this program and also just game dev tips in general if you have any

I didn't even know about Wolf RPG editor before, from what I see online it's a clone of RPG Maker itself, why not use it instead?

I remember back in 2001, RM2k it was one of my first contacts with game development, good times...

i dont have any budget outside of like a simple laptop and i dont have a source of income yet

what do you mean? Is RPG Maker not free anymore? I used it for free back in 2001...

If I remember correctly(not 100% sure), RPG Maker was never free.

What happened is that the first versions were only sold in Japan (and only in that language) and what arrived in the West were illegal copies that were translated by the community.

Surely what you remember is one of those versions, but technically, they were illegal copies.

Wow it seems you're right. Internet in the days of the dial up access had a lot less means of certifying if something is legit or not...
