Is it possible to host a "blockchain" game on itch.io?

I am currently developing a game that will connect with metamask. In-game items and equipment will be minted NFTs on the ethereum blockchain. Are there any examples of games on itch.io that do this? Are there any reasons why this would not be possible? I have one game here on itch and I would like to use the platform for my new project as well.

itch.io does not provide hosting for any back-end infrastructure for games. We only let you upload your code to be executed on the end user’s computer (via a downloadable executable, or a browser based game). If you have infrastructure needed to support your game then you are responsible for hosting it.

Additionally, although blockchain projects are not explicitly banned, they are generally looked down upon by our community due to the prevalence of scams and exploitation. That is why you probably don’t see many projects related to blockchains or NFTs here.

In theory it is possible. Just see the game "Cope Shodown" on itch.io

In practice it is not possible because blockchain does not add any value and as such no one bothers spending time to make their game less appealing.
