About Analyze Panel

Hello ,

As a project manager i am tracking the analyze panel for my game . I noticed that, the updates of the game counts "download". I mean if a player just update the game and get the final version, it counts as a download. And now i can not be sure about the download number, how much is Unique  /new downloads. It is really important for my marketing strategy.

Do you have tricks for better understanding these  ?

Thank you

Unfortunately, due to how people can access files from both the app and the browser, we are unable to accurately detect the intent of the downloader. For that reason we only provide a simple downloads metric. We do provide some simple limiting on download counter to only count downloads from a single user once if they attempt to re-download the same thing over a short period of time.

In the future, we may expose more analytics for projects uploaded via Butler, that will show how builds are downloaded, eg. if they are patches or not.
