Are we allowed to have ads in our games on itch.io?

Hi, I was curious to know if we are allowed to post ads within our games (browser run) on itch.io

I know the site itself does not run ads, but can we implement them within our game. I like the concept of watch an ad and get x bonus for x time. Thanks.

We don't have any rules against ads, but we prefer developers to use our tools and refrain from using ads. If you use ads in your page then it may negatively affect your ranking on our browse pages in the future.
