I been doing some research lately on how to get your game featured. At first, I thought interesting page would help you to get featured but I saw some of the game just put a few screenshots of the game, gif, and introduction about the game. Some of them just add a control guide like WASD keys. No trailer still can make your game get featured. What I mean by that, my expectation for those featured games are high. They will have a game trailer, gif, screenshots, long paragraph.

I believe I need to put everything about my game to get featured. Do we have to put everything on the page to get featured because some of the featured game have no trailer, short paragraph, no introduction but their game still get featured. If you look on my latest project "Night Class", I tried to do the same thing which is a simple page. I put a screenshots, short introduction, features and even a quote. Are they get featured because they have a lot of followers? A twitter account? Is because of their game is free? Long paragraph? Pixel game?  Can you guys tell me the best way to make your game get featured. If your game was featured, please tell me how you did it.

As far as I can tell, there are two types of games that get featured:

1) Games that the staff likes and wants to promote.

2) Games that are already popular and have received widespread attention.

There's no submission process or guarantee.  You are probably better off focusing on promoting your game in general than specifically trying to make the featured list, since few games ever will.
