Add a new release status named "Jam Entry"

I feel jam entries don't fit into any of the existing statuses:

  • While technically they are Released, they don't usually have the level of finish one would expect a released game to have.
  • They are not In Development because we've finished working on them for the jam.
  • On Hold and Cancel may be more accurate, but give the impression of something that's not yet ready and maybe never will be.
  • They are not really Prototype because they are more than just an exploration of an idea.

So I think they deserve their own status -Jam Entry - that indicates the game was something completed in a short time to be judged under some specific constraints.

I find that trying to come up with specific language to determine how “released” is incompatible with how games are developed and distributed. I don’t think that “jam game” makes sense as a “release” status. That field is to communicate the state of development and not supposed to represent any level of quality.
