How long for approval of Kickstarter Email?

I understand why we need to get approval, but is there not a quicker way to get approval? When I first started here on itch.io we didn't need to get approved (or it was so fast I don't remember it). I am just now wondering when it may get approved.

This is ridiculous, 4 days no answer from support and ignored here. Not very happy with itch.io - used to be a great way to distribute rewards.

We have always required approval for sending unsolicited emails from an account, it’s mandatory to prevent people from using our services to send spam.

I’m sorry our support team hasn’t gotten back to you request yet, but patience is definitely appreciated over being rude. If you know you’re going to need to create a new account to send emails from then I highly recommend setting up that in advance of your deadline to avoid any issues in the future.

For anyone else who may be having trouble and has stumbled across this topic:

  • Ensure that you contact us using the email address on the account
  • Please have the project you wish to send emails from filled out with information so our team can review what you are trying to distribute. You can also write your first email and save it on your account so we can see it

Because sending out mass emails for crowd funding campaigns is a free service we provide we must vet accounts that wish to send emails so that we don’t hurt our own sending reputation and can continue to provide the service to everyone.

Approval is handled on a per account basis, so once your account is approved you can send emails. Any new accounts will need to be reviewed and approved.

It's just very concerning that there is no mention anywhere that we need to do this so many days in advance as it can take several days to get approval. I have used your service under another account for my own rewards and it always seemed to me to be approved in one day (usually hours).  I do appreciate the response and the explanation.
