What does it mean when my dashboard shows downloads for my WebGL game?

I have a few games on itch.io that run in a browser. Sometimes my dashboard shows downloads for these games even if my game's page does not have a download button. Normally, I do not mind if good people download the game but I am worried my games can show up on other websites if bad people learn how to rip or mod them.

When people play your game through the Itch app, the game itself is downloaded (even though it’s a web game) so that it can be played even offline. This shows up as a download in the analytics.

I completely forgot about the itch app. That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for a quick answer.
