Stuck at captcha after login

I completed it a couple times and nothing ever happens after the green checkmark. Can login just fine in the website.

Took me to fill in like 20 captchas before the itch.io app approved my login. If I didn’t need to test a bug reported by a user, I’d gave up after 2nd…

You can avoid the app’s catpcha in one of two ways:

  1. Enable 2FA on your account
  2. Log into the site from your browser on the same computer/network before logging into the app

The captcha is there to prevent people from testing stolen credentials via our API to hijack accounts.

Hope that helps

Thank you for the information!

Log into the site from your browser on the same computer/network before logging into the app

For some reason that didn’t work for me. I tried to log in from the very same computer/OS from Firefox browser all the time (I believe even the browser tab was open, though maybe wasn’t refreshed for some time) - and was badly blocked by a wall of captchas.

That said I get captchas on “regular” web sites from time to time from this specific network, that may mean that my internet provider may be considered not trustworthy by some services. But those are always a couple of captchas, not over a dozen.
