Google Analytics -- required?

Is Google Analytics used on pages for HTML5 games even if I don't specify an id? (It certainly appears to be.)

If so, is there any way to opt out of Google Analytics entirely on my games' pages?

We run our own Google Analytics code on all pages on our site right now. There is no way to disable it on a per-page basis. It’s one of a few third-party services we utilize, you can review them all from this page: https://itch.io/docs/legal/cookie-policy

Thanks, that page is helpful.

Consider this post my request to make it possible to opt out of Google Analytics for HTML5 game pages :)

My only motivation is just to not require players' information to be sent to Google (in absence of an ad blocker), in case they're concerned.

Ug, looking at the policy, itch.io defaults to Google, Facebook, and Twitter analytics. Avoid the electron app for HTML games and use an adblocker on your browser.
