Mind the Vikings

Hey!

My name is Simon and im part of Idyl, a two-man team that is now releasing Mind the Vikings (our first game)! 

Im hoping i'd push some info about the game in this thread once in a while, how we're doing and what's next. It would be great if we could get some feedback from you, if you think the game sucks, or what's awesome about it :)

Simply put, the game is a city-building game about vikings, and the idea is make all the vikings have unique personalities, so might end up managing a city of lunatics or pyromaniacs, or perhaps you can create a city full of shy people, or why not heroes?

We are not completely there yet, but we feel like we have "something" that we can show people, and if you like/dislike it, it might give us a lead on where to head next!

let me say this is very fun concept. when i play the game I got black an white feeling because picking up the characters and drop them near intractable object. there are some thing you could change and it is the most in the controls right now. zooming is not zoom in or out but more the feeling of up and down. And i have to control with the WSDA instead with the right mouse button.

in the gameplay I didn't see bugs right now.

in the visuals, I saw some characters walking in an T formation(you know like  when you are modeling in in an 3D program )

but the art itself looks very clean and tidy. are you aiming on low poly in this game? or is this going to change in late development.

and then my final question what is the game going to look like when are done with or finished. Because i can see that you can go on many directions.

I've written down all the things you brought up, we'll take a look at it asap, the T pose character is an important one, do you have any idea of when that happened, or what you did to make it happen?

The art will pretty much stay the same, we don't have an artist on the team, we are just two coders :) We do however plan on adding a lot of things, like water, day and night cycle, etc, you can look at our roadmap on our profile page here in itch :)

thank you i try to recreate the bug what i saw and this is it. when they have a job and sometime if you build something like a house they make this pose when walking. this is also their working pose. 


i call this bug the motorcycle bug because it looks like it sitting on an motorcycle.

also i notice an other bug for the farmers when you give them that job on the farm plot they stay idle and after some time they walk away into the forest heading on an adventure I think.

Aaaah, the motorcycle bug :D We will now officially call it that.
