Very good, Extremely heavy potential.

I have been playing this for quite some time now and its Super fun.

here are some recommendations, some of which I know your working on.

In the beginning, we need more immigrants, its VERY difficult to start off without them. I only got like 1 immigrant notification in 5 minutes, then eventually as the city grew they stopped which they in fact should only increase due to your cities noticeable "popularity".

Gatehouse graphics, under the gatehouse the arches are always dark green, you should make it so they blend in with the land under them.

Army needs MUCH more improvement as it has SO much potential with it, Select all would be nice, or click/drag to select your troops so you can select more than 1. And eventually you could make it so they wear armor or something and with that comes sort of blacksmith shop maybe.

Make cities able to Expand a larger radius, they span very minimal defaultly.

Should be able to CAPTURE other enemy cities, and be able to TRUCE/Peace/Trade/Go To War ALONGSIDE!!

Enemies I think personally should look realistic and not red aliens lol. but that's just a personal thing.

The enemy bases are very basic, they just stay basic but get larger (expand) and not actually develop themselves or upgrade themselves.

But I heavily recommend you think about the starting off of a game, its very difficult to start out.

Hope some of that is taken into consideration if not all.

P.s. this game is one of the best games I have ever played on itch.io.

Thanks,

Nate

Great game isn't it?

Hi, thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback.

> In the beginning, we need more immigrants

You should get immigrants in the spring every year,  up to a total population of 5. I've added some messaging in 2.0.2 to notify you if you don't have enough housing for immigrants, and increased the frequency to twice a year.

> Gatehouse graphics

Yeah, gatehouses currently don't have a "floor". They need work in general, I'm not sure when that is going to get done.

> Army needs MUCH more improvement

That's the focus of the next major update (2.1). More RTS style unit controls. You can already increase the armor of your melee troops through upgrading them to spearmen through the barracks.

> Make cities able to Expand

I have plans for allowing settlements to expand into adjacent regions. They're limited to regions for tracking territory, which is why they seem rather limited right now. I plan on adding more visibility into region sizes to help with this as well, and maybe increasing region sizes.

> Should be able to CAPTURE other enemy cities, and be able to TRUCE/Peace/Trade/Go To War ALONGSIDE!!

Capturing settlements is slated for 2.1. Diplomacy and trade are also planned, but are further off.

> Enemies I think personally should look realistic and not red aliens

There will be additional enemy races, including enemy humans.

> The enemy bases are very basic

The Masklings themselves are very basic, which reflects in their towns. Other races will have more developed settlements. My eventual goal is to have an AI empire that has all the capabilities of the player's own empire.

Immigrants aside, what did you have the most trouble with? Bronze Age 1.4 had an advisor / help button that hasn't been added to 2.0, would something like that help?

Thanks again for the feedback, I appreciate it.

Hey Shawn,

Thanks for the detailed reply, I also appreciate it lol. Makes my hopes high for the future of the game! because I will be staying in touch with it for sure.

>Immigrants aside, what did you have the most trouble with? Bronze Age 1.4 had an advisor / help button that hasn't been added to 2.0, would something like that help?

As a help button do you mean like telling controls, etc. Well that Would in fact help players playing for the first time because I did have a struggle for a few minutes there so it would be nice yes.

But mainly its just the immigrants that cause the "struggle" in the beginning tbh....
