Hi! I've been trying to embed a mailchimp signup form on my creator page. 

Mailchimp generates html for a form. I've pasted that into the html editor on my creator page. Curiously, the form displays correctly in the preview box, but displays as just a chunk of raw code on the public-facing page.  Any ideas as to why this happens or how I could fix it? Would it be considered custom css that I'd need access to the css editor to use?

yes you do need to request but also make sure it follows all laws on CA, EU and others. You cant make it into a popup nor can you take personal data from users.
