unity webgl game won't connect to database

hi, i just uploaded a unity webgl project that connects to a database and let users leave and read comments, but that part doesn't seem to be working. the game is not crashing or giving any error, but comments are not being loaded. the game was previously uploaded to simmer and everything worked, so i know for a fact that the problem is not in the file. does itch.io don't allow this type of functionality?

thanks!

itch.io will allow you to add this kind of functionality, but it’s up to you to do it correctly. It’s likely you don’t understand the security & environment requirements to communicate with a database hosted elsewhere. I recommend checking your browser console for errors, and reviewing any guides or tutorials about the database you’re using to ensure that you understand how to establish a connection from an arbitrary domain where your game may be hosted.

Hope that helps

lol dude u admin and you have kid pic.

he is the creator of itch.io

he created itch.io that's why

thank you for your answer.  i don't have any errors and the communication seems to be working but just in one direction, i'm able to write to the database but not read from it (and as i've said it works on other hosting platforms)

how do u even become a admin anyways

he freakin' created itch

also, he probably not even a kid.

its probably a picture of him as a kid, or a picture of his child, idk.
