Simple question really. I am curious to know whether developers have any information about the platforms their games are being bought from. Furthermore, what do developers know about users who pay above the minimum? Does it just show up as extra revenue?

I can't see what platform people buy from. It makes little sense to me anyway. Maybe they just bought an Android game from their Windows computer. What do I care? The important thing is which edition they download. And even then, people will often download more than one, for whatever reason.

I also can't see any special information about people who pay more than the minimum, since it's just a payment like any other. All I can do is say a silent thank you for their generosity.

Got it. Thanks. The important thing is that you can see the files which are downloaded.

Developers can’t see the platform their buyers use (to my knowledge at least), but they can see which file was downloaded. So if a project has one file for windows, and one for linux, they can see how many times each has been downloaded.

Developers see a total amount a sale made, regardless if it’s above the project’s amount or not.

Hope that answers your questions :)

Edit: Beaten by a couple of minutes, will leave this answer anyway in case it helps anyone.

Got it. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
