HI. I'm a mom. My kid loves Friday Night Funkin. I am desperately trying to open the download on our new chromebook. I've read some stuff. I need to download a Linux beta to open it up. my chromebook is a Spin 713 64g so it should be fine. I just dont know what linux is or where to download. I tried down loading some apps and it said it need a 'root'. I know this likely sounds ricidulous... I'm such a noob.

Where can I get a Linux beta that will be compatible to open my FNF?

Thank you exhausted mom of high functioning autistic cuteness.

I'd say ask in the FNF community, but this isn't an issue with FNF either. Please check the Chrome OS documentation, a Linux subsystem should be built-in nowadays, that can be enabled in the settings. Even then however you need a Linux build for your CPU, which in a Chromebook can be either x86 or ARM. Hope this helps!

on the chromebook go into settings and in the search bar type linux beta then download it after you do download the Friday night funkin linux file it has to be a .deb file

You should ask this in the Friday Night Funkin' community, but I don't think you'll get much help there because it's really toxic and people tend to post extremely unrelated things, they'll most likely ignore your post but you could try anyways.

Linux (Beta), also known as Crostini, is a feature that lets you develop software using your Chromebook. You can install Linux command line tools, code editors, and IDEs on your Chromebook. These can be used to write code, create apps, and more. ... To learn how to set up Linux (Beta) on supported Chromebooks, click here.
