WebGL build causes visual artifacts and audio issues (Unity)

Hello!

So I published my game yesterday, and had to go the downloadable builds route as WebGL was causing the following issues:

  • Visual artifacts are visible on some of my buttons. As you can see, the sides are distorted slightly.
  • Audio quality has taken quite a hit, and the mixing levels are completely different from browser to browser
  • Music loops aren't seamless anymore, instead they kinda stutter for a millisecond and sometimes even cause a clipping noise

I spent weeks trying to fix this issue to no avail. I would really love for my game to become a browser game since it is much simpler for players and for pushing updates. I thought you guys might have an idea as to what causes all of this?

Thanks!

Does this happen only when the game is uploaded to Itch.io, or also when you test locally on your computer?

This also occurs when testing locally on my computer yeah, so I figured it probably has to do with export settings, but nothing I do made any difference unfortunately.

can you screenshot your audio import settings?

are you using "audio mixer" or just individual audio "source" volume levels to mix?

My audio import settings essentially follow this guide.

So for example, all my songs have those settings, and all small repetitive sounds look like this. Note that I played around a lot with those settings and it didn't seem to make much of a difference...

I'm only using audio sources for my volumes, that might be a problem?

Thanks!

as for the artifacts on the buttons i would just try just making the gap between the lines larger and seeing if that fixes it.
