I notice that you are doing spells for the future update, and I wanted to make a topic so me and other people can request/come up with spell ideas! I'll start off with one that I had a bit ago, and I think I've said something similar in another thread.

     Firework'd Limbs

     So, you talked in your video about a reanimation power up, and having to add limb points to the monsters as to make it possible, I thought that you could also reuse that into making it where a downed monster's limbs could be used as a homing rocket. It could work similarly to Risk of Rain's 2 Bundle of Fireworks, but the amount of fireworks depends on the monster's number of limbs. I thought triggering something like this could be a passive tome of some sorts, or a magical lighter/matchstick that normally does it when you touch the monster.

Hope that this thread gets used (instead of a bunch of disconnected threads being made) and not a lot of bugs happen with the spells! (and if it does you can always use a rubber ducky)

Hell yeah, I'll subscribe to this thread if anyone wants to provide their input on the spell system. 

That sounds like it could be a passive perk, once a perk system is in the game. Iit'd be easy to make it so that when you raise skeletons, sometimes their limbs fall off and have minds of their own.

i think you should add  lightning bolt as a spell  or fire ball or super boots super boots would make you super fast super jump and zero g boots would just have a hotkey to enable zero g and disable

Spells seem like an interesting addition, given that they can be used in the off-hand and aimed effectively while flying, allowing for aerial combat - finally!

About that, though; I'd like to suggest that you eventually enable a method for players to effectively aim regular ranged/melee weapons while in the air. This could be a powerful ability, so you might not want it unlocked by default. In that case, perhaps you can have a spell-book that can be kept in the off-hand that provides no direct combat ability, but when activated it will lock the player's aim/weapon facing in the air for their main hand, not unlike using a power-swing while grounded. To make it truly useful, this ability to aim in any direction should work both while hovering and while flying around at Mach 2. Casting this spell could drain energy so that this special mode of flying isn't free, but not so severe that fighting in the air is rendered practically impossible. I think you've gotten the hang of balancing things, so I trust that you'd make a good decision in the energy-drain department.

As for the name, given how wacky it'll probably look to have the player be able to face in any direction while flying, you could name the spellbook something that acknowledges that - perhaps "Compendium of all known laws of Aviation (Wawsp Edition)," as an oblique reference to the "according to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly...the bee, of course, flies anyway" copypasta made popular by the infamous "Bee Movie."

add a glock and you should make a mod community also you should add totem that you can add juice to to get spells but the juice cost would be alot  like an acent tome dont mind my spellings that you can find the totem in and buy magic stuff

So you would get some NPC to put a bunch of juice into some tome/magical object so you can do magical spells easier?

sortlike that but your the one that puts the juice in the totem and then you could unlock the spells by giving the spell totem the juice and youcould pick up bodys and sacrifice them to get a spell cheaper

There should be a spell where you use homing Juice Lasers (Like Ms. Slitherss does) to evaporate your enemies, or buff the Wand of Kinesis so you can constantly damage them while nerfing the grabbing effect (Or completely remove the Grab effect and just make a wand that disintegrates things)

And if you're wondering what the Item for the Juice Laser thing would be it would be Ms. Slitherss's Head, since it would keep with the whole "Boss being alive even though you killed them" thing.

How about a clay spell that shoots clay on monsters. It could Stun them or you could make it so that it summons a clay monster that would devour enemies. That might be too OP though.

The spells system is great. Had a few bugs pop up though.

Bugs

Like when I died in test-build B holding a meteor book and once I respawned, the book got sent to my inventory yet I still had the magic power. While that was happening I equipped a kinesis book and I was able to use both powers. It was honestly really cool actually, to hold an enemy up and fire a meteor on them and send them flying. Only happened once though.

Everything else is good though. The only thing you could add towards the spells are well.. more spells haha. 

Ideas

If you need some ideas.. hm have you thought of a mutation spell? Some sort of thing that mutates an enemy or few like that one debug spell. 

Jo0ce said something about those rainbow lazers Mrs.Slitherss fires. I agree with that, it's pretty sick.

Really just trying to think of something already in the game in some form.  Hope I could help in anyway.

Maybe making some weapons have to "attune" to the juice/magic so there is a nerfing to some of the magic spells (like the one where you copy it a bunch of times) and it gives you reason to explore the world for "attuner" (or because it's juice, perhaps "straws"?) ;  I feel like that would make some of the balancing easier and give a bit of pacing to the power you have.

Inversed Explosions

This spell would be mainly for the ranged pineapple weapon, what it does it that it would make the explosions pull in the monsters instead of scattering them. This would hopefully feel nice with the ranged weapons, if it also somehow pulls in the monsters with the other projectiles.

(I can't remember what else causes explosions but I think that's all the weapons that it would effect)
